CRASH ON HUTCHINSON RIVER PARKWAY
40th Precinct
Wednesday, February 19 at 9 p.m. – A 13-year
old male victim was walking on the opposite side of
373 East 141st Street when he was approached by
multiple unidentified males who surrounded him, demanded
his cell phone and slapped him in the face
numerous times. They proceeded to remove his
phone his coat pocket and fled in an unknown direction.
The victim sustained minor swelling and pain to
the left side of his face.
Wednesday, February 19 – 33-year old Leonard
Nieves was arrested and charged with second degree
murder, manslaughter and second degree criminal
possession of a weapon in connection to an homicide
incident that occurred on Friday, February 14 which
resulted in the death of 34-year old Yahya Almunster.
Tuesday, February 25 at 10:55 a.m. – A 15-
year old male victim was walking on the street in front
of 455 Southern Boulevard when two unidentified individuals
approached him from behind and demanded
his property. The victim refused and the two individuals
fled without removing any property.
41st Precinct
Friday, January 10 at 6:30 p.m. – A 48-year
old female was waiting at a bus stop on the corner of
West Farms Road and Westchester Avenue when two
males approached her and proceeded to remove her
cell phone from her hand, before fleeing the scene in
an unknown direction.
Saturday, February 1 at 8 a.m. – A male individual
punched 56-year old male victim in the face
and then slashed his left hand with an unknown sharp
object following a dispute inside of a northbound Bx17
MTA bus. The male walked off the bus at East 163rd
Street and Prospect Avenue and fled southbound on
Prospect Avenue.
Monday, February 16 at 2:50 a.m. – Multiple
individuals approached a 32-year old male victim in
the vicinity of Intervale Avenue and Tiffany Street and
asked to use his cell phone. The victim consented, at
which point the individuals struck and sprayed the victim
with a fire extinguisher and displayed a knife. They
removed the victim’s iPhone 8 and his wallet, which
contained debit and credit cards, before fleeing the
scene in an unknown direction. EMS responded and
transported the victim to an area hospital for a laceration
to his face and difficulty breathing.
42nd Precinct
Wednesday, February 12 at 1:30 a.m. – A 50-
year old male victim was inside a grocery/bodega located
at 621 East 169th Street engaged in a verbal
dispute with an unidentified male. The male produced
a cutting instrument and slashed the victim one time
in the neck, before fleeing the location in an unknown
direction. The victim suffered a laceration and was
transported to St. Barnabas Hospital by EMS in stable
condition.
Friday, February 14 at 4:50 p.m. – An unidentified
individual approached a 16-year old female as she
was sitting inside a Dunkin’ Donuts at 1779 Southern
Boulevard. The individual proceeded to forcefully remove
the victim’s iPhone 7 and flee the location. The
victim refused medical attention at the scene.
43rd Precinct
Friday, February 7 at 7:15 p.m. – A 51-year old
male victim was punched and kicked in the head multiple
times in front of 1105 Stratford Avenue by an unidentified
individual who fled in an unknown direction.
The victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/
Jacobi in critical condition. The victim sustained fractures
to the head and nose.
Saturday, February 29 at 2 p.m. – A 35-year old
male victim entered the St. Lawrence Avenue subway
station. While inside the station of the southbound 6
train platform, the victim was approached by an unidentified
individual who punched the victim in the face
and removed his wallet. The individual fled the station
with $250, the victim’s driver’s license and Metrocard.
The victim sustained a broken nose and was taken to
NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi for treatment.
Monday, March 2 at 1:30 p.m. – A 54-year old
male MTA bus operator exited a Bx27 bus to check on
the condition of a school bus blocking his path. While
doing so, two unidentified males engaged the bus operator
and proceeded to punch him multiple times before
fleeing in an unknown direction. The victim sustained
swelling to the right eye, forehead and bruising
to his knee. EMS responded and transported the victim
to Westchester Square Hospital in stable condition.

Monday, March 2 – The NYPD arrested 29-year
old Jean Carlo Jimenez and charged him with murder,
criminal possession of a weapon, five counts of assault,
reckless endangerment and harassment in connection
to a homicide incident that took place on Sunday,
March 1 inside 2004 Ellis Avenue which resulted
in the death of 29-year old Mercy Capacette.
44th Precinct
Monday, February 3 at 12:15 p.m. – A 59-year
old male victim was approached by two unidentified
individuals who began punching him about the body
and face. The individuals then forcibly removed two
gold chains from his neck before departing northbound
on Anderson Avenue.
Monday, February 3 at 3 p.m. – A 25-year old
male victim was opening his apartment door, in the
vicinity of Elliot Place and Walton Avenue, when two
unidentified males approached him from behind,
displayed a black firearm and stated, “Don’t even
think about it.” The males proceeded to go through
the victim’s pockets, removing his wallet containing
$60 before fleeing in an unknown direction.
There were no injuries reported as a result of this
incident.
Thursday, February 20 at 11:30 p.m. – An 18-
year old female was walking home in front of 1362
Grand Concourse when three unidentified males followed
her southbound on the concourse. One of the
males grabbed her around the neck while the other
snatched her necklace before all three males fled
westbound on Elliot Place. The victim was not injured
as a result of this incident.
Sunday, February 23 at 1:45 a.m. – A 30-year
old male victim was approached by three unidentified
individuals at the corner of Sheridan Avenue and
East 172nd Street who threatened the victim and
demanded his property. The victim refused and the
three individuals began punching and kicking him before
forcibly removed his cell phone and wallet before
departing in an unknown direction.
Sunday, February 29 at 1:40 p.m. – A 17-year
old male victim entered the D train 167th Street subway
subway to meet an individual who he arranged to
sell his bicycle on Facebook. While inside the station,
he was approached by two males. One of the males
removed the bike and the other displayed a knife and
forcibly removed the victim’s headphones and cellphone.
Both males fled the subway station.
45th Precinct
Sunday, February 23 at 5:08 a.m. – An individual
slashed a 20-year old male victim in the face
with an unknown sharp object following a dispute onboard
a Q44 MTA bus. The male suspect then walked
off the bus at Brush Avenue and Bruckner Boulevard
and fled on foot. The victim suffered a laceration to his
left cheek and was treated at NYC Health + Hospitals/
Jacobi. The individual is described as having a beard
and a mustache and was last seen wearing a multicolored
hooded sweater, a black jacket, dark colored
pants and red and white sneakers.
46th Precinct
Thursday, February 27 at 7:45 a.m. – A 15-year
old male victim was walking on the stairs to the northbound
platform of the 176th Street Station on the 4
subway line when he was approached by an male
who displayed a knife and demanded the victim’s cell
phone. The victim complied and the unidentified male
fled on foot with the victim’s black iPhone 11.
48th Precinct
Tuesday, February 28 at 4:15 p.m. – An unidentified
individual approached a 12-year old victim in the
vicinity of 232nd Street and Carpenter Avenue and
grabbed her buttocks. The individual then fled eastbound
towards White Plains Road.
49th Precinct
Friday, February 28 – 21-year old Reign Harney
was arrested and charged with murder and robbery in
connection to an assault/homicide incident that occurred
on Tuesday, February 11 that resulted in the
death of 43-year old Tamara Sinclar.
50th Precinct
Sunday, March 1 at 9 p.m. – A 61-year old
male victim was walking in the vicinity of Broadway
and Exterior Street when he was approached by four
unknown male individuals who began to punch the
victim about the head and torso, forcing him to the
ground. Once on the ground, the individuals removed
approximately $200 from the victim and then fled on
foot southbound on Exterior Street.
52nd Precinct
Friday, February 21 at 11 a.m. – The NYPD is
seeking the public’s assistance in locating 13-year
old Webster Avenue resident Ivan Rosado, who was
last seen at his residence. He is described as a Hispanic
male, 5’2”, 100 pounds with black hair and was
last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and black
sneakers.
