The Connected Chef creates food equity
through grocery delivery
ABY ALLISON KRIDLE storia-based local business The Connected Chef, founded
by married couple Kim Calichio and Omar Bravo-Pavia, offered
children’s gardening and cooking classes that emphasized
the community and environment. At least, that’s what
they did before the pandemic hit. Like many educators, they
shifted to virtual classes — but they also used their resources
to make an impact on a community in need.
