Maria (@geginha1) was a burst
of sunshine walking down the
street when I saw her. She is a
restaurant general manager who
was enjoying an afternoon of
pampering and shopping on her
day off. I loved her neutral top and
cheetah print shorts accessorized
with lots of bangles. Plus, her
beautiful curly hair and red lip
really stood out. It was a perfect
summer look.

e might be dealing with high temperatures
this month in western
Queens, but locals and visitors are
not allowing that to cramp their
style. Astorians have been staying
cool this summer with pieces like lightweight blouses,
dressy shorts, floral dresses and denim overalls.
And the fashionistas I noticed didn’t forget to accessorize;
they used bags, jewelry, sunglasses and more
to showcase their feminine to edgy personalities.
