spent a lot of time in New Orleans, and the
southern influences are palpable.
“This book is what inspired us,” said
Kleinert, presenting a coffee table book
called “New Orleans: Elegance and Decadence.”
They are drawn to the colors and
the charm of the New Orleans style.
Their living room is crimson with colorful
drapes framing the windows, reflecting
this style well. The room is full of art, knickknacks
and plenty of seating. Everything is
accented with a pop of color.
Above the couch hang two framed pieces
by Peter Max, known for his psychedelic
pop art of the ‘60s.
“When I was a little kid I had a Peter Max
book of paper airplanes,” Hailey said, “so I
knew him at a very early age.”
“He kind of inspired our decorating a
little bit,” Kleinert said, pulling out a Pe-
