Tucked in just past the turnstiles off the Ditmars station
along the N/W is Silver Age Comics, where both Marvel and
DC fans frequently collide. There are comics based on classic
characters such as Gotham’s dark hero Batman. Comics
run the gamut, and anything that’s not on the walls will surely
be found in the alphabetized folders in the store center.

8. Rudy’s Hobby & Art

Since 1939, Rudy’s has been one of New York’s
most reliable sources of model car and plane
kits, ceramic figurines and art supplies, according
to Rudy Oest, the store’s owner. The store’s
signature items are its DIY or collectors’ kits,
coming in train, car and plane models. For futurists
or space lovers, Rudy’s also offers spacecraft
models and kits.
