When the pandemic began a year ago, we said
goodbye to our usual happy hours, date nights,
fitness classes and live entertainment. We shifted
our recreational time to the virtual space, but we
often got tired of screens.
And that’s where hobbies came in. An informal
Instagram poll of our readers found that 55
percent started a new hobby since quarantine
began. What’s more, 74 percent said they
planned on sticking with their newfound interest
post-COVID.
As western Queens residents await their vaccines,
