NEWARK AIRPORT DEDICATES CANINES NAMED AFTER FALLEN Newark had special ceremonies commemorating the
20th Anniversary of 911 with a new monument outside of
the main administrative building, and the special recognition
of the Explosive Detection dogs’ graduation class
with the names of lost Police comrades assigned to handler’s
K9s.
Newark received special attention for it was here that
United Airlines flight 93 enroute to San Francisco was
hijacked and eventually crashed in Somerset Pa, after
heroic passengers stormed the terrorists and saved the
U.S. Capitol from destruction, the intended target of the
plot gone awry.
