OIG Appointments
Chairman O’Toole took the
opportunity to swear in for the
two top posts at the Office of the
Inspector General with
John Gay Inspector and General
Jessica Ortiz as the Deputy.
In was perfect timing for
O’Toole to remark on the concession
pricing issues facing airports/“
With the appointment of
the new Inspector General we
want the public to be served. “
Want to look at OTG and the pricing
issue. The public will be well
served. Welcome aboard”
He said that he did not know
if the OTG pricing incident was
abuse or glitch or something at
all airports saying OTG and others
have pretty good services.
The Port has no contract with
them but terminal operators do.
O’Toole said these instances
are anecdotal about charges but
we notified to ask OTG to audit.
We will have the Have IG work to
make sure agreements are met.
If abuse, we should hear sooner
or later he said.
O’Toole also took the time to
recognize members of the PAPD
for their heroic acts saving lives
in the past month.
Speakers
The Board regularly invites a
number of public to speak. Some
of the remarks included the alleged
flagrant disregard by United
Airlines to comply with minimum
wage rues established in 2018
and provide a paid MLK Day.
