Spirit Airlines
Spirit began transcontinental flights
from LGA to LAX. The is one of the two exceptions
to the 40year old Perimeter rule
which restricts the airport to handle flights
only within a 1,500-mile radius from the airport
as a means to reduce congestion in
the airport closest to Manhattan.
T1 Flight resumptions
Brussels began to fly again this past
week flying again T1
NEOS, a current regional Italian airline,
is expected to begin U.S. service from JFK
to K=Milan in the next few weeks.
Air Serbia is operating out of T1.
T4 resumptions

United Airlines
First United is the first airline to have
contracted to buy more than a dozen
BOOM Supersonic jets.
Secondly, United launched a new, corporate
venture fund – United Airlines Ventures
– that will allow the airline to continue
investing in emerging companies that
have the potential to influence the future
of travel. The new fund will concentrate on
sustainability concepts that will complement
United's goal of net zero emissions
by 2050–without relying on traditional carbon
offsets–as well as revolutionary aerospace
developments.
Spirit Airlines
Spirit re-established its nonstop flight
routes to Costa Rica,
Costa Rico Flights
Several U.S. airlines launched new
routes to Costa Rica, others started new
services entirely. Beginning next month
through August including Frontier Airlines
introduces its service to Costa Rica.

More and more airlines are announcing
plans to reduce their carbon footprint and
use Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).

Atlantic Aviation
Atlantic, with an office in Republic Airport,
is to be sold to KKR
Investment company KKR has agreed
to purchase Atlantic Aviation from Macquarie
Infrastructure for $4.475 billion in cash
and debt.
Signature
Investment groups Blackstone, Global
Infrastructure Partners, and Cascade assumed
ownership of Signature Aviation,
the largest FBO chain, effective June 1,
2021. Signature has a large presence at
EWR and White Plains.
