International Women's
Day (IWD) on March 8 is a
global day celebrating the
social, economic, cultural
and political achievements
of women and falls early in
Women’s History Month.
IWD also marks a call
to action for accelerating
women's equality. Today,
IWD belongs to all groups
collectively everywhere.
IWD is not country, group
or organization specific.
The Port Authority has
been strong proponent
of diverse women
executive and managerial
opportunities at the
JFK, LGA, EWR and its
airports. The aviation
world also has more
women in top positions
in the terminals, airlines,
aviation education,
aviation businesses and
in the airport community
organizations. While the
work is not done for more
inclusion, we can be proud
of the achievements made
over the decades.

have our annual Women
of Achievement issue
in April. If you have an
outstanding nomination
