22 APRIL 11 - APRIL 17, 2013 Bay Ridge Credit Union hosts annual meeting BY HELEN KLEIN hklein@homereporter.com The Bay Ridge Federal Credit Union celebrated another successful year during an April 3 party at the Bay Ridge Manor. About 125 people joined in the festivities, which included the announcement that the Credit Union’s Anthony Grigos had been promoted to executive vice president, effective January, 2013. Grigos, who has been in the banking industry for 15 years, is a Bay Ridge resident and is active in local groups including the Brooklyn Real Estate Board, where he serves on the board, and the 68th Precinct Youth Council, of which he is a director. Credit union President Gene Brody gave some good news to those who attended. Brody said that the U.S. economy is “recovering,” based on data contained in the Index of Leading Economic Indicators. Among those in attendance were local elected officials, including State Senator Marty Golden, Assemblymembers Peter Abbate and Nicole Malliotakis, and City Councilmember Vincent Gentile.
