Christ the King High School Board of Trustees Announces New Promotions

Christ the King High School Board of Trustees Chairman,
Serphin R. Maltese is pleased to announce three Board
promotions and appointments at Christ the King High
School.
Dolores St. Louis has been promoted to Vice Chair of
the Board of Trustees; Dr. Clara Sarrocco was promoted to
Secretary of the Board of Trustees, and Veronica Cokley has
been appointed as Director of Operations of Christ the High
School.
Serphin R. Maltese, CK Board of Trustees Chairman,
said, “We congratulate Dolores St. Louis, Clara Sarrocco, and
Veronica Cokley upon their well-deserved promotions. Their
steadfast dedication and commitment to ensuring a quality
Catholic education for all students who attend Christ the King
High School are valued and to be applauded.”

Ms. St. Louis, Dr. Sarrocco, and Ms. Cokley upon their
well-deserved promotions. Their hard work and dedication
to Christ the King is constant and unwavering. Their efforts,
along with those of our faculty, staff and administrators make
Christ the King a great place to learn and grow as a students
and young adults.”
Dolores St. Louis was an original member of the
“Committee to Save Christ the King”, in the midseventies,
when her sons, Robert and Paul were attending the high
school. That organization’s efforts resulted in the formation
of the present school. She has had numerous roles within
the CK Community since then including serving as Executive
Assistant to the Board of Trustees, Board Member, and
Secretary of the CK Board of Trustees. Ms. St Louis will now
serve as Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees.
Ms. St. Louis joins long time former Principal, Peter
Mannarino, who was also recently promoted to Vice Chair of
the Board of Trustees.
Dr. Clara Sarrocco, a prominent educator, holds a Doctor
of Arts degree from St. John’s University, Master of Arts
degrees from Hunter College and St. John’s and a Bachelor
of Science degree from Fordham University with a field of
study in English Literature and Philosophy. She has been the
Executive Director of the Council on National Literatures, and
Director of the CNL /Anne and Henry Paolucci International
Conference Center. Dr. Sarrocco is also on the Board of
Glendale Homeowners, Inc., and has served a member of
the CK Board of Trustees. Dr. Sarrocco will now serve as
Secretary to the Board of Trustees.
Veronica Cokley has been at Christ the King High School
over 13 years, serving as Executive Assistant to the President,
Mr. Michael Michel, where she assisted in the management
and operation of the school and its facilities. She has also
served as Assistant to the Board of Trustees. Ms. Cokley will
now serve as Director of Operations Manager of Christ the
King High School.

Christ the King Regional High School is a private, co-educational Catholic High School with a 4-year college preparatory
curriculum. Located in Middle Village, Queens, Christ the King Regional High School draws students from all areas. The school
is accredited by The Board of Regents of the State of New York and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary
Schools. Christ the King’s current enrollment is approximately 800 students. The faculty numbers 45.
