Lady Got Chops - A women’s
history month music and arts
festival is coming to Flushing
Town Hall. Kim Clarke, the
founder of the event, is an artist
and producer who has spent 17
years advertising for musicians,
organizing concerts, and
enhancing the careers of women
in jazz. As a celebration of women,
the event is a concert and panel
that provides as a multicultural
artistic sharing experience.

Best Seats Ever: The Female
Lounge - Colorwex Studios is
holding a hip-hop, poetry, and
soul concert series to continue
this women’s history month. The
theme is “the future is female”
and it starts with a Cocktails
and Conversation introduction,
followed by an intimate live
show. To end the night, there
will be a Meet and Mingle after
party. Guests will receive three
complimentary drinks for the
speciality cocktail menu. There
will also be light bites and
different fun activities.

Mozart’s The Magic Flute:
Queen’s College Opera is bringing
the 1971 written opera back to
life. The show will take you onto a
quest with Prince Tamino as he’s
being chased into a strange land
by a giant serpent while he ends
up on pursuit with Papageno,
a bird-catcher. They’re seeking
enlightenment and romance, but
they’re having difficulties telling
apart the good guys from the
bad guys. Sung in German with
English dialogue and supertitles,
you’ll experience a Mozart magic
mystery.

children of Celebration Hall in
Kew Gardens is holding a “Tres
Reinas” Concert followed by a
movie screening Pixar’s “Up.”
The concert is a family friendly
performance by a Forest Hills
based trio of musician moms.
The movie screening will provide
with snacks and water.

generation of both classic Rock &
Roll and R&B as they perform their
billboard hits like Nelson’s “Hello
Mary Lou” and “Travelin Man.”

the moves and singing style of
his father while performing songs

That’s Why.

She’s On Point: A Celebration
of Girls in Sports - Women’s
History Month continues with
She’s On Point as they celebrate
female athlete achievements and
introduce young girls and boys
to sports at Al Oerter Recreation
Center. A variety of sports clinics

from traditional to alternative
sports are occurring thanks
to partnerships with local
colleges, sports organizations
and contributions of NYC Parks
Public. Professional athletes and
coaches have also been invited to
talk about their pathway to their
career in sports.
