The New York City Department of Design and Construction (DDC) is upgrading the
water mains, sanitary and storm sewers in your area. The contractor performing the
work is EIC Associates, Inc. On behalf of DDC, AMC Engineering has prepared a Public
Participation Plan to inform the public on upcoming construction that will require
groundwater control and dewatering activities in your area, and on the State Pollution
Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) permit application process.
At the meeting, an overview of the scope of work, schedules, impacts and the proposed
mitigation measures as it pertains to the groundwater control and dewatering activities
in the College Point area, adjacent to Flushing Bay, will be presented by a
representative from EIC Associates, Inc. The first session is open to all residents in the
College Point area near Flushing Bay.
