FOR BREAKING NEWS VISIT www.qns.com THE COURIER SUN • DECEMBER 15, 2016 43 sports BWG 2006 group ends 2016 season with two victories and a visit from Santa The Blau Weiss Gottschee (BWG) 2006 soccer group had a busy weekend which saw the end of the 2016 campaign, and a visit from the big man from the North Pole. On Saturday, Dec. 10, after meeting with BWG Director of Coaching Paul McGlynne, the 2006 group traveled to the Hofstra Bubble Indoor League. The first group played a very close game against the Albertson Academy, winning the game 3-2. Goals scored by Murat Tsernikov (2) and Luca Fargoli. The second group won another close game against Levittown 3-2, with goals scored by Lautaro Croci (2) and Luca Giannola. Once the games ended, the fun began, as the boys, their parents and the coaches participated in the annual BWG Christmas party.
