St. Michael’s Cemetery will host a community event
series: “A Journey Around The World,” that highlights
a new country each time. On Saturday, November
9, at 3 pm we will explore the influence of
Germany – via a spectacular
video and presentation by Kathy
Jolowicz, the Yorkville/Kleindeutschland
historian covering
Germany’s influence and history
from the 17th Century through
the 60s with emphasis on the era from the 30s through the 60s.
Keeping the German heritage alive, she is a Division Marshall and PR
Committee member of the German American von Steuben Parade, as well as the founder
of the 30-year-old German Language Learning Club and Steuben Society member.
