day! From 9 to 10 a.m., join
this self-guided fitness walking program
that lasts from the Fort Totten gate onto
Joe Michaels Mile, which is approximately
two miles. This free program is
held at the Fort Totten Front Gate in
Fort Totten Park, Totten Road and Cross

16 End your day with yoga!
From 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.,
yoga instructor Helen Kilgallen, from
Ocean Bliss Yoga, will teach a yoga
class near the water of Rockaway Beach
to end our day! Please bring either a
mat or large towel. This class is held
at Beach 102th street in Rockaway
Beach and Boardwalk. This class is free

17 Lend a hand and join the
NYC Compost Project! From
9 a.m. to noon, learn to how grow
healthy crops and to foster a farm ecosystem.
This project provides multiple
tasks like processing food scraps, building
a compost pile, harvesting, plant
activities and more! Volunteers must be
at least 16 years old to participate. The
project is set at the Queens Botanical
Garden, 43-50 Main St. Admission is
FREE for members, $6 for adults and $4

18 Want to show your mic skills
to the world? Then head to
the QED for Wits N’ Bits Open Mic!
From 6 to 7:30 p.m., sign up and get
the chance to perform on the stage
from 4 minutes! Participants that stay
until the end will have the chance to
go up to the stage whenever at future
Wits N’ Bits. Signing up starts at 5:30
p.m. Don’t miss your opportunity at

Do you want to get messy, but create art at the same time? Then you’re in luck! From 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.,
kids and caregivers can come to the Queens Library to bring their creations to life! Explore your imaginations
as we’ll play with paints, glue and anything squishy and fun. Aprons will be provided. Come and get
your hands dirty at the Queens Library in Long Island City, 37-44 21st St. Registration is not required.

Come and create your own dreamcatchers! From noon to 3 p.m., come to Socrates and explore your creativity!
Participants are invited to craft their own personal dreamcatchers as well as special booklets to capture
thoughts and reflection, while enjoying the beautiful waterfront landscape. Come and join us at Socrates
