Like Machado, many faculty members are industry veterans. Music Business Professor Mel Glazer is a veteran songwriter whose credits go back to the 1960s when he co-wrote the title song for the Elvis Presley movie “Speedway.” Linda Ingrisano, a former Capitol Records senior executive, is a professor, career counselor and industry associate, helping students to find internships at companies such as Billboard Magazine. Professor Ingrisano also runs a lunch and lecture series which offers students an up close and personal information session with an industry professional. Students gain valuable inside information from these lectures which will enable them to have the upper hand when pursing a position upon graduation.
