 Cops seek man who  
 allegedly punched elderly  
 woman exiting a bus 
 Police  are  looking  for  a  man  who  
 they  say  allegedly  struck  an  elderly  
 woman in a bus in Jamaica. 
 According  to  police,  a  75-year-old  
 woman was exiting the Q36 bus at the  
 northwest  corner  of  Hillside  Avenue  
 and  Edgerton  Boulevard  on  May  15  
 at about 1:30 p.m., when an unknown  
 man punched her in the head. 
 The  75-year-old  woman  sustained  
 substantial  pain  as  a  result  
 of  the  seemingly  unprovoked  attack,  
 according  to  police.  EMS  responded  
 to the scene and transported her to a  
 nearby  hospital  where  she  was  treated  
 and  eventually  released,  authorities  
 say. 
 Police released two surveillance videos  
 of the man who allegedly assaulted the  
 woman, one of those taken from a business  
 on Hillside Avenue. 
 Th  e alleged individual was last seen  
 wearing a bright orange du-rag, a black  
 hoodie, multicolored pants with orange  
 and  black  sneakers  and  carrying  an  
 orange and gray backpack. 
 No arrests have been made and the  
 investigation is ongoing. 
 110th Precinct 
 Corona, Elmhurst, LeFrak City 
 Motorist fatally strikes man  
 who was running across the  
 Grand Central Parkway: NYPD 
 A man died aft er he was struck by a  
 motorist as he was running across the  
 Grand Central Parkway near Roosevelt  
 Avenue, according to authorities. 
 Police say the man was struck by a  
 Volkswagen Jetta that was driven by a  
 20-year-old man a little aft er 11:30 p.m.  
 on Friday, May 14. 
 Th  e incident happened within the confi  
 nes of the 110th Precinct, which covers  
 Corona and Elmhurst. 
 When offi  cers arrived at the scene, they  
 found the man who was struck lying unconscious  
 in the roadway with severe body  
 trauma. EMS responded to the incident  
 and transported the man to the NewYork- 
 Presbyterian Hospital, where he was pronounced  
 dead, according to authorities. 
 102nd Precinct 
 Kew Gardens, Richmond Hill  
 East, Richmond Hill, Woodhaven  
 and parts of Ozone Park 
 Cops searching for man who  
 allegedly stole a woman’s  
 phone in Jamaica-Van  
 Wyck subway station 
 Police are searching for a man in connection  
 with a cellphone robbery at a  
 Jamaica train station. 
 According  to  police,  a  25-year-old  
 woman was on board a southbound E  
 train inside the Jamaica-Van Wyck subway  
 station at about 2:30 p.m. on Th ursday,  
 May 13. When the train doors opened, an  
 unknown man snatched the 25-year-old’s  
 Galaxy cellphone from her hand. 
 Th  e unknown man then left  the station  
 and fl ed eastbound on Jamaica Avenue  
 on foot. 
 No arrests have been made. Th e investigation  
 is ongoing. 
 Further  investigation  by  the  NYPD  
 Highway District’s Collision Investigation  
 Squat  found  the  deceased  man  had  
 been running across the Grand Central  
 Parkway on the westbound lane of traffi  c  
 before he was struck by the car. 
 Th  e  man  has  not  yet  been  identifi  
 ed, pending proper family notifi cation,  
 according to police. Th  e driver remained  
 on the scene when police arrived. 
 No arrests have been made, and the  
 investigation is ongoing.
