ALBANY, N.Y. – Judith Dicker,
Executive Director at Hillside
Manor Rehabilitation & Extended
Care Center in Jamaica Estates,
New York has received the 2019
Lifetime Achievement Award from
the New York State Health Facilities
Association/New York State Center for
Assisted Living (NYSHFA/NYSCAL).
The award was presented on May 7th
at the 2019 NYSHFA/NYSCAL Awards
Banquet during the Association’s
annual conference in Verona, NY.
An esteemed leader in longterm
care, Mrs. Dicker has touched
so many lives by transforming her
life’s passion to serve the frail and
physically challenged into a highly
accomplished career. Throughout
the years, Mrs. Dicker has been a
trusted mentor to numerous women
and men who, in turn, have made
long-term care their life’s passion.
In the seventy-year history of the
Association, Mrs. Dicker is only
the fifth recipient and first woman
to receive the NYSHFA / NYSCAL
Lifetime Achievement Award.
Mrs. Dicker is presently serving
as the Executive Director at Hillside
Manor Rehabilitation & Extended
Care Center, LLC, and until recently
served as Executive Director for
Hillside Manor Long Term Home
Health Care Program, Hillside
Manor Adult Day Health Care
and Hillside SurgiCare Center and
Hudson Valley Rehabilitation &
Extended Care Center.
Mrs. Dicker been a long time
member of the New York State
Health Facilities Association/New
York State Center for Assisted Living
(NYSHFA/NYSCAL). Until recently,
she was designated as President of
the New York State Health Facilities
Association District 12 and served
on the NYSHFA/NYSCAL Board of
Directors, as well as many committees.
She has served as a Member of the
Public Health Council, is a Fellow of
the American College of Health Care
Administrators, a member of the
American Health Care Association and
a Board Member of Greater New York
Health Care Facilities Association.
“While others have retired, Judith
Dicker remains a daily and constant
presence at Hillside Manor, through
her dedication and forward thinking,
she provides guidance and inspires
us all to grow and achieve new
goals in this changing health care
climate. Judith is an exemplary role
model in every sense of the word,”
said Douglas Wissmann, Director
of Finance at Hillside Manor
Rehabilitation & Extended Care
Center. “We are proud that she has
been honored with this prestigious
award from NYSHFA/NYSCAL.”
The Lifetime Achievement Award
is presented to an individual who has
devoted themselves to assuring the
provision of the highest quality longterm
care services to patients and has
been a leader in and advocate for the
highest standards of professionalism
in NYSHFA/NYSCAL.

Center for Assisted Living (NYSHFA/
NYSCAL) is a member-driven
association of providers of long term
care services, caring for individuals of
all ages in proprietary, not-for-profit,
and government-sponsored skilled
nursing, post-acute, rehab, adult care
