Man steals more than
$1,800 in Woodhaven
bank robbery: NYPD
Cops are searching for the bandit who
robbed a Queens County Savings Bank in
Woodhaven on Friday, May 8.
Police said the thief entered the bank,
located at 80-35 Jamaica Ave., around 1:10
p.m. on May 8 and passed a note to a teller
demanding cash. Th e teller complied
and the man fl ed the scene with $1,830,
according to authorities.
A police spokesperson said no weapons
were displayed or simulated during
the robbery.
On May 9, authorities released a photo
that shows the suspect walking in the
vicinity of Forest Parkway and 86th
Avenue aft er the robbery.

Verbal dispute leads to thrown
punches in Jackson Heights
subway station: NYPD
Th e NYPD is looking for a man who
allegedly punched someone following a
dispute on a Jackson Heights subway platform
last month.
On Monday, April 20, around 10 a.m.,
a 53-year-old man began to get into a verbal
spat with an unidentifi ed man on the
southbound 7 train platform at the 74th St
- Broadway station, according to police. Th e
unidentifi ed man then punched the 53-yearold
in the face and knocked his cellphone
out of his hand, according to the NYPD.
Th e man ran off as the victim suff ered
pain and bruising to his mouth, although
he refused medical attention, police said.
Th e cellphone was recovered.
Police recovered video of the incident as
part of their investigation.

Four cuff ed in Ozone Park
after cops fi nd drugs in SUV
illegally parked at hydrant
Four men found themselves in hot water
this week aft er cops found a cache of drugs
and cash inside their illegally parked vehicle
at a Ozone Park fi re hydrant.
Police reported on Th ursday that the
bust occurred at 6:35 p.m. on May 5 in
front of a hydrant on 97th Avenue near
89th Street in Ozone Park.
Offi cers from the 102nd Precinct came
on the scene and observed the illegally
parked SUV. During questioning and
a subsequent search, law enforcement
sources said, they recovered more than
$6,000 in cash as well as quantities of
marijuana and controlled substances.
Th e precinct tweeted that cocaine and
acid were among the controlled substances
seized.
Law enforcement sources identifi ed
the four suspects arrested as Alejandro
Cardoso, 29, of East 138th Street in the
Bronx; David Preciado, 24, of Junction
Boulevard in Corona, Queens; Pita
Irving, 26, of Pratt Avenue in the Bronx;
and Fernando Restrepo, 29, of 100th
Street in East Elmhurst, Queens.
Th ey were each charged with multiple
counts of criminal possession of a controlled
substance.
Police sources said Pita — whose prior
arrest record includes an attempted murder
collar in September 2014 — was
additionally booked on a weapons possession
count aft er cops found a knife
on him.
