 Cops searching for duo  
 who stabbed and robbed  
 a man in Astoria: NYPD 
 Th  e  NYPD  is  looking  for  two  men  
 wanted in connection with a robbery in  
 Astoria last week. 
 On Monday, April 20, around 8:50 p.m.,  
 two men assaulted a 24-year-old man following  
 an argument in front of 11-17  
 30th Rd., according to the NYPD. One of  
 the men stabbed the victim with a sharp  
 object during the fi ght, police said. 
 Th  e two men took off  with the victim’s  
 cell phone, fl eeing eastbound on 30th  
 Road, according to the authorities. 
 Th  e 24-year-old was taken to NewYork- 
 Presbyterian/Weill  Cornell  Medical  
 Center  by  EMS  personnel  with  stab  
 wounds to his torso and right leg. He is in  
 stable condition. 
 Both men are described as being in  
 their 20s.

 Gun bust in Ozone Park  
 uncovers 25 illegal fi rearms  
 and ammunition: NYPD 
 A man was arrested in Ozone Park  
 over the weekend aft er a search of his  
 home uncovered a stockpile of illegal  
 guns and ammo. 
 According to police, at 4:56 p.m. on  
 April 25, offi  cers responded to a 911  
 call regarding an assault at the home of  
 66-year-old Anthony Santamauro, located  
 on  101st  Street  near  Woodhaven  
 Boulevard in Ozone Park. Upon their  
 arrival,  offi  cers  were  informed  by  a  
 63-year-old man that Santamauro had  
 allegedly struck him over the head with  
 an object. 
 At this time, it’s not clear what the  
 motive behind the assault was. Police  
 indicated that Santamauro and the victim  
 knew each other prior to the incident. 
  Th  e victim refused medical attention  
 at the scene. 
 While conducting their investigation,  
 police say that the offi  cers saw fi rearms  
 in plain sight. At 11:19 p.m. that same  
 day, offi  cers from the 102nd Precinct  
 executed a search warrant and uncovered  
 25 guns and thousands of rounds of  
 ammunition. 
 Santamauro was taken into custody  
 and charged with multiple counts of  
 criminal possession of a weapon, as well  
 as assault, unlawful possession of a large  
 capacity ammunition feeding device and  
 failure to safely store fi rearms.

 Man makes COVID-19  
 related anti-Asian remarks  
 and breaks woman’s cell  
 phone in Rego Park: NYPD 
 Th  e NYPD is looking for a man wanted  
 in connection with an allegedly racist  
 attack on a woman in Rego Park over  
 the weekend. 
 On  Sunday,  April  26,  around  11:45  
 a.m., around Wetherole Street and 66th  
 Avenue, a man made COVID-19 related  
 anti-Asian  statements  to  a  36-year-old  
 woman, police say. 
 Th  e woman then tried to use her cellphone  
 to take a photo of the man, but he  
 slapped it out of her hand, causing it to  
 fall to the ground and shatter, according  
 to the NYPD. 
 Th  e  man  then  ran  off  westbound on  
 Wetherole Street, police said. 
 Th  e  man  is  described  as  having  a  
 salt and pepper beard and mustache.  
 At the time of the attack, he was wearing  
 a white baseball hat, a white hooded  
 sweater, white sweatpants and white  
 shoes, according to authorities. 
 Th  e  incident  mirrors  a  similar  anti- 
 Asian  attack  in  the  112th  Precinct  in  
 March. 
 On  March  12,  a  man  pushed  an  
 Asian man aft er harassing him and his  
 10-year-old son in Forest Hills, according  
 to  the  police.  Th  e  man  was  later  
 arrested by the Hate Crimes Task Force  
 of the NYPD.
