The New York Arm Wrestling Association (NYAWA) announced that on Sunday, May 3, the 38th Annual NYC Big Apple Grapple International Arm Wrestling Championships and Crowning of the King and Queen of Arms will take place at Cheap Shots Sports Bar, located at 149-05 Union Tpke. More than 100 male and female arm wrestlers are expected to participate in the event. Goals by Gabriel Cusu, Leana Ruiz and Adrian Ithurralde and great goalkeeping by Giacomo Faccioli led the team to victory. The U8 Blue team plays in the Under 8 A Division and is currently in first place with 9 points from three Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League games. The BWG U9 White team played the New York Stars over the weekend, winning 5-0. Derek Ramos scored twice while Dylan Gage, Marco Bogdanovic and Jakub Rembiszewski each scored one goal in the shutout win.
