Owner, Jen, has a love for cooking and overall craft y background; she came up with her shortbread recipe almost by accident! Her passion for creating turned into a cookie that she just had to share. Th ese cookies, although simple in nature, are anything but boring! She holds to her values of small batch baking to maintain high quality and uses only non- GMO jams, organic extracts and the sweetest cream butter. Jen Bakes Shortbread is currently selling on etsy.com, but Jen’s business has been thriving locally since she began last November. You can fi nd her at the Flea on Saturdays and Sundays through May. Ramble Monde believes the world is an amazing place that is meant to be explored for unique items, beautiful experiences and inspiring conversations. Th e shop sources artisanal small batch and one-of-a-kind fi nds. Ramble Monde provides global home decor sourcing for interior designers and small(ish) retailers looking for unique items with a global design perspective; in addition to its own collection sold online. Each item is specifi cally curated to replicate the vibe and spirit of each location. What’s the Dillaz is an artisanal quesadilla shop runned by LIC natives Jesse Vasquez and Marilyn Hernandez. Th ey’re changing the way customers think about quesadillas by providing their own special twist of the traditional dish. What’s the Dillaz also off ers house-made creams and pico de gallo for their traditional quesadillas.
