SUNDAY, APRIL 10 The Queens Museum is welcoming kids ages 5 to 12 and their adult companions to drop into the Drop-In Family Workshop. This week’s activity will be album cover art making in the style of The Ramones’ Birth of Punk. There’s no admission fee or advanced registration required; the workshop begins at 1:30 p.m. and you can stay as long as you’d like. The workshop will be held in the Unisphere Gallery on the second fl oor. The Queens Museum can be found in the New York City Building of Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Corona. The New York Hall of Science invites you and your child to their Little Makers workshop to “Make Your Mark” by learning various fun ways of creating print art and even learn the Japanese printmaking technique “Suminagashi,” or fl oating ink! WEDNESDAY, APRIL 13 As part of an exploration of the evolution of music, the Queens Museum will be hosting a screening of the 2012 fi lm “Late Quartet” in which Christopher Walken, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Catherine Keener and Mark Ivanir play four members of a world-renowned string quartet whose simmering tensions threaten to tear the group apart. The fi lm will be shown in the second-fl oor theater, and is free with museum admission. The independent artist’s collective RAW will be hosting an event titled “SIGNATURE” this Wednesday at Melrose Ballroom. The Queens Dinner Club will be hosting its inaugural dinner at Tangra masala in Sunnyside, where the theme for the evening’s fourcourse meal will be Indian-Chinese fusion. The 10 different dishes that will comprise the four-course meal are all compliments of Chef Peter Lo.
