The victims were standing on Lakewood Avenue about 3:20 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, when a vehicle pulled up and gunfi re erupted from the passenger side, offi cials said. The car, described as a blue sedan, then fl ed, police said. Khalil Bowlin was hit once in the torso and taken to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to cops. The second victim, an 18-year-old man, suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was transported to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition. Police are still looking for the shooter. 104TH PRECINCT Maspeth, Middle Village, Glendale and Ridgewood Two fatally shot inside Ridgewood home A man and a woman were shot to death inside their Ridgewood home, police said. Offi cers found the victims at the Summerfi eld Street residence about 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, according to offi cials. Natalie Mejia-Tavares, 21, suffered from a gunshot wound to the torso and Louis Oscar Padilla-Lopez, 22, was shot once in the head, cops said. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing. The robbery took place about 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 27 aboard a southbound No. 7 train at the Flushing-Main Street station, police said. The suspect approached the 15-year-old, grabbed the cell phone from his hand, punched him in the face and fl ed, offi cials said. After swiping the Apple tech, he then stole jewelry and an undetermined amount of money, police said, and even took a green bag that was in the apartment to carry the load of items. NYPD releases new photos in attempted rape case Cops have released new pictures of a man who they say attempted to rape a woman in Astoria last month. The man allegedly tried to rape the woman on Feb. 23 at about 3:30 a.m. He approached the 23-year-old victim from behind as she was walking on 30th Avenue, and shoved her to the ground before trying to rape her, offi cials said. The woman fought back, and the perpetrator fl ed. Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic male in his early 30s, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 145 pounds. PHOTO COURTESY NYPD The FBI is seeking help to identify the perpetrator behind a laser attack, which caused fl ash blindness and disrupted the vision of a Delta Air Lines pilot on Tuesday, March 25. As the plane was approaching LaGuardia Airport to land just before 8 p.m., a green beam that came from Queens Boulevard in Elmhurst entered the cockpit twice, the FBI said. The injured pilot continued to experience pain in his right eye for a while after the attacks. There have been various laser attacks that caused injury in pilots recently. On January 25, a beam that originated from Staten Island blinded a United Airlines pilot as the fl ight was approaching LaGuardia Airport. In another incident on December 26, 2013, a Jet- Blue pilot experienced blurry vision for more than a week after being blinded by a laser while approaching JFK Airport. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 212-384-1000. A $10,000 reward is available for information that leads to the arrest of anyone involved in these incidents.
