Group beats down two
people in Sunnyside and
Woodside: NYPD
Th e NYPD is looking for several people
wanted in connection with two robberies
in Sunnyside and Woodside earlier
this month.
On Saturday, March 7, around 1:20 a.m.,
in front of 41-06 50th St. in Sunnyside,
fi ve individuals beat down a 16-year-old
boy without provocation, according to
police. Th e boy dropped a bag of food,
one of the fi ve individuals picked it up,
and the fi ve suspects fl ed the scene southbound
on 50th Street.
Later in the hour, around 1:50 a.m.,
the five individuals punched, kicked
and knocked down a 51-year-old man
in the vicinity of 71st Street and 41st
Avenue in Woodside, according to
the NYPD. They fled southbound on
71st Street after taking the man’s cellphone.
Th e 51-year-old was taken to NYC
Health and Hospitals/Elmhurst in stable
condition.
All fi ve individuals are described as
being between 16 and 20 years old.

Man punched in the face
during knifepoint robbery
in Glendale: NYPD
Police are searching for two crooks
who asked for a ride before robbing a
man in his car at knifepoint in Glendale
on the night of Saturday, March 14.
Authorities responded to a call regarding
a robbery in front of 78-72 80th St.
in Glendale just before 11 p.m. on March
14. Upon arriving at the scene, offi cers
from the 104th Precinct were informed
by the 27-year-old victim that two men
who had requested a ride entered his
vehicle.
Once inside, one suspect fl ashed a knife
and demanded the driver fork over his
money before punching him in the face,
police said. Th e second suspect exited the
vehicle, fl ashed a fi rearm and stole $100
from the driver, according to authorities.
Th e suspects then fl ed westbound on
Myrtle Avenue in a dark-colored vehicle.
Th e victim refused medical attention at
the scene of the incident.
Police said it is “unclear” if the victim
was a taxi, Lyft or Uber driver.
Cops said both suspects have light
complexions. One suspect who was last
seen wearing dark-colored clothing is
described as being 190 pounds and having
short white hair. Cops said the second
suspect, last seen wearing dark clothing,
is approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall and
175 pounds with short black hair.

Crooks slash man outside
of Woodside night club
Cops are searching for two suspects
who slashed a man in front of a Latin
night club in Woodside on March 9.
Police said the two men approached
the 29-year-old victim in front of La
Boom — located at 56-15 Northern
Blvd. — just before 4 a.m. and slashed
him twice with an unknown object.
EMS responded to the scene and
transported the victim to a nearby hospital,
where he was treated for lacerations
to his face and hand.
Cops released photos of the suspects
on March 13.
