CIMINO & CRISTABELLE TUMOLA 102ND PRECINCT Kew Gardens, Richmond Hill East, Richmond Hill, Woodhaven, and the northern part of Ozone Park Investigate fatal stabbing Police are investigating a Richmond Hill attack that left one man dead and another injured. According to the NYPD, on Wednesday, March 6, around 3:30 p.m., authorities responded to a 9-1-1 call of a male stabbed on Jamaica Avenue near 127th Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 32-year-old Jose Rubio who was stabbed in the back, and another victim, a 17-year-old male, who was hit in the shoulder with a rock. EMS responded and took the stabbing victim to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The second victim refused medical attention at the scene. An initial investigation determined that the victims were walking in front of 126-19 Jamaica Avenue, the location where they were found by police, when a group of males attacked them. The investigation is still ongoing. 108TH PRECINCT Long Island City, Sunnyside and Woodside Seek perv who touched girl Police are asking for your help in nabbing the man they say inappropriately s touched a 12-year-old as she boarded the No. 7 train. The incident occurred on Friday, March 8 at the Woodside train station, when the suspect approached the victim from behind and forcibly touched her before boarding a train. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 28-35 years old, 5’4” -5’6” and wearing a red messenger-type bag. Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS. Driver loses control, kills pedestrian One pedestrian was killed and four others were injured when a  minivan  jumped the curb near  LaGuardia Community College  on Monday, March 11, according to police. Around 10:30 a.m., the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Thomson Avenue when the driver lost control and drove onto the sidewalk at 30th Street, striking five people. They were taken to  Elmhurst General Hospital where one of the victims, 16-year-old Drudak Tenzin, was pronounced dead. According to the Department of Education,  Tenzin was a student at  Applied Communications High School. The remaining four pedestrians are listed in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing. 110TH PRECINCT Corona and Elmhurst Seek man who stabbed cyclist in park Police are looking for a group of men who stabbed a cyclist and stole his bike in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park over the weekend. According to the NYPD, the unidentified victim was riding in the park around 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 9 when eight to 10 men approached him and told him they wanted his bicycle. The suspects pulled the victim off the bicycle, punched him, stabbed him four times in the back and once in the chest, then fled with the bike. The victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Authorities describe the perpetrators  as Hispanic males, 18 to 20 years old. Anyone with information in regards to this burglary is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS.  111TH PRECINCT Bayside, Douglaston, Little Neck, Auburndale, Hollis Hills and Fresh Meadows Bus kills woman A 55-year-old woman is dead after a Queens bus struck her last week, according to police. Around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, a QM3 bus was traveling westbound on 73rd Avenue, making a left turn to travel southbound on Springfield Boulevard when, with the rear portion of the bus, it struck the victim. She was taken to Long Island Jewish Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The investigation is ongoing. 112TH PRECINCT Forest Hills and Rego Park Help snag salon pilferer Authorities are looking for a suspect who robbed a Rego Park salon early Thursday morning, March 7. According to police, at about 3:30 a.m., the suspect used a hammer to shatter the front glass door of Olga Salon, located at 91-02 63rd Drive. Once inside, he removed cash from the register and a portable radio from behind the counter area, then fled. The suspect is described as a white male, 35 to 40 years old, 5’8”, 160-170 pounds and was last seen wearing a dark colored jacket. Anyone with information in regards to this burglary is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS.    114TH PRECINCT Astoria, Long Island City, Woodside and Jackson Heights Library perv arrested A suspect wanted in connection with the  March 4 assault  on a 15-year-old girl at a Queens library has been arrested, police said. Hector Troche, 56, has been charged with sexual abuse, forcible touching and public lewdness after police say he grabbed the teen and exposed himself to her. He grabbed Anderson by the throat and shoved her to the ground. He also hit Anderson with a bottle of alcohol and used her lighter to set her couch on fire, despite knowing her son, Ayden, was sleeping inside the apartment, according to statements he made to police. Humphrey then ran from the apartment, leaving Anderson behind with her body on fire and her son in his bedroom. After lying down for a period of time, he walked to a phone and called 9-1-1 to report the fire. Additionally, Humphrey admitted that he knew Anderson was pregnant, but he did not want to have a family with her. He has been held without bail since July 2010, and on Wednesday, March 6 was sentenced to 50 years to life in prison.
