School of Rock Queens To Hold its First Performance Showcase on
January 11th
School of Rock Queens, coming soon to the Bayside community and currently operating in temporary space in Whitestone,
Queens (150-34 14th Avenue) at Multi-Sound Studios, will be putting on its first performance showcase on
Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 12-5pm at Hatfields in Bayside (40-05 Bell Boulevard).
School of Rock is the ultimate performance-based music school, combining weekly private lessons with weekly
rehearsals in rock bands, culminating in live shows at real rock venues. With a motivational song-first approach, School
of Rock teaches piano/keyboard, vocals, guitar, bass, and drums to kids ages 4 and up as well as adults.
The January 11th show will begin with the younger students, those in the Rock 101 beginner rock band, performing
four songs. Shortly after, students in the Performance Program will perform a full set of songs under the theme “British
Invasion” featuring artists such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and The Who. The school’s adult band will also
perform a short set of songs, and the afternoon will wrap up with an open jam by School of Rock Queens staff members.
“I’m so incredibly proud of our students, given nearly all of them were absolute beginners when we opened the school
in mid-September. To see them all coming together as a real band and motivating each other to excel as a team is so
inspirational. The show directors have done an amazing job teaching these kids to not only play their instrument, but
also to be musicians, which is what School of Rock is known for,” says Tom Vidal, owner of School of Rock Queens.
“This is just the first of many shows our students will perform in this amazing community we now call our home.”

be available at the door. For more information about School of Rock Queens, please visit queens.schoolofrock.com.
