Man shot in
failed heist
in Bushwick

Police need the public's help in
fi nding the gunman who shot
a man in the face during an
attempted robbery in Bushwick on
Sunday aft ernoon. that left one man
with a gunshot wound to his face.
On Dec. 17 at about 5 p.m., law
enforcement sources said, offi cers
from the 83rd Precinct responded
to a 911 call about the incident that
happened inside an apartment at
Jeff erson Street near Irving Avenue.
Authorities said the gunman
-- described as a black man, approximately
25 years old and standing
5 feet, 10 inches tall -- entered the
apartment wielding a gun, demanding
money from the victim,
according to police. There were
three other men inside the apartment,
all near the age of 20.
During the robbery, sources
said, the suspect’s gun discharged,
striking an 18-year-old man in the
right cheek. The perpetrator then
fl ed the scene; it is not believed that
he got away with any money.
The victim was treated for swelling
and bleeding, according to police.
