PLATTA died on Wednesday, Dec. 1, at the age of 86. He was the beloved father of Suann Dugan, cherished grandfather of Samantha, Jack and Alex, loving soulmate and love-of-the-life to Joanne Friedman and loved by Jessica and Kenneth. Mr. Platta was a United States Navy Veteran. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Best Friends Animal Society. Private cremation was held on Friday, Dec. 3, at Fresh Pond Crematory, Middle Village, and memorial visitation was at Papavero Funeral Home on Saturday, Dec. 11. She was the beloved mother of Michelle Borman, loving grandmother of Emma, Katelyn and Matthew, cherished daughter of Elizabeth Bilodeau and dear sister of Patricia Bilodeau, Marie Cantelmo and Vincent Bilodeau. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
