OBITUARIES
CHARLES ARENA, of Glendale,
died on Friday, October 25, at the age
of 79. He was the beloved husband of
the Evelyn Arena, devoted father of
Charles Arena and Marie Spaulding,
loving son of Domenico and
Josephine Arena, and dear brother
of Josephine, Mary, and Christina.
He is survived by nine grandchildren
and four great grandchildren.
Services were off ered at the chapel/
funeral home, followed by interment
at Fresh Pond Crematory, Glendale,
NY, under the direction of Werst &
LaBella Funeral Home, 71-41 Cooper
Ave., Glendale.

MARY-ANN MARRONE, of
Glendale, died on Tuesday, October
29, at the age of 74. She was the beloved
wife of the late John Marrone,
devoted mother of John Marrone and
Jeanine Duke, and loving daughter of
the late Richard and Jennie Brooks.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held
at St. Pancras RC Church, followed
by interment at St. John Cemetery,
Middle Village, under the direction
of Werst & LaBella Funeral Home,

died on Sunday, November
3, at the age of 66. A native of Bani
Mazar, Egypt, she was the beloved
wife of Banob Gerges. Services

Coptic Orthodox Church, followed
by interment in Linden Hill
Cemetery, Ridgewood, under the

Middletown, New Jersey, died on
Saturday, November 2, at the age of
93. A native of Maspeth, she was the
beloved wife of the late Patsy Conrad
Scarpitta and devoted mother of Donald
and Wayne Scarpitta. She is also
survived by six grandchildren. A
Mass of Christian Burial was off ered
at St. Aloysius R.C. Church, followed
by interment in Calverton National
Cemetery, Calverton, under the

Glendale, died on Wednesday, October
23, at the age of 66. A native of
Brooklyn, she was the dear sister of
Thomas J. McGuire. Services were

Saturday, October 26, at the age of
80. He was the beloved husband of
the late Frances Dellysse, loving father
of James Dellysse, dear brother
of Raymond A. Dellysse, and dear
friend of Susan Scaretta-Enright. He
was a United States Air Force veteran.

Friday, November 1, at the age of 87.
Originally of County Clare, Ireland,
he was the beloved husband of the
late Mary P/ Casey, loving father of
Thomas Casey and John Casey and
father-in-law of Ana, the cherished
grandfather of Lucy, Thomas and
Michael, and the dear brother of
Michael, Ann, Bridget, and the late
Thomas, Martin, John, Mary, Noel
and Margaret. A Mass of Christian
Burial was offered at St. Mary’s
Church on Monday, November 4,
followed by interment at Calvary
Cemetery, Woodside, under the
direction of Papavero Funeral Home,

October 30, at the age of 75. He
was the beloved husband of Fanny
Leung, loving father of June Ein and
Jennifer Leung, cherished grandfather
of Belinda, Veronica and Benjamin,
and a dear brother-in-law and
uncle. He was a United States Army
veteran. Private cremation was held
Friday, November 1, at Fresh Pond
Crematory, Middle Village. A memorial

9, from 2 to 5 p.m., followed by
