Ridgewood Soccer club travels to
North Carolina for annual showcase
Blau Weiss Gottschee’s
2007 and 2006 Developmental
Academy
groups traveled to North
Carolina from Oct. 25-28 for
the annual Developmental
Academy showcase.
The 2006 squad lost its
fi rst game against Arlington
Soccer Association of DC
3-2. They tied 0-0 against
Queens City and won 3-1
against Concordia.
The 2007 group played
four games. They tied
against Baltimore Armour
1-1. They won 2-1 against
Virginia Development
Academy and 2-1 against
Southern Soccer Club. They
lost against North Atlanta
1-3.
The 2005 Developmental
Academy group completed
its play in the cup. In the
NY/NJ conference, the team
fi nished fi rst ahead of Cedar
Stars Bergen, Cedar Stars
Monmouth, Met Oval, New
York Soccer Club and FC
Westchester.
In the last game of the
DA cup, the BWG 2005 won
their game against New
York Soccer Club 4-0. Erik
Huovilainen, Khaled Daoud
and Jack Bejarano all scored
goals.
