OBITUARIES
AUGUST LOVINKAITIS died on Saturday, Oct. 17, at the age of 99.
He was the beloved husband of the late Irene Lovinkaitis, loving father
of Patricia Rozell and the late Robert Norman Daniel, father-in-law of
Douglas Rozell, cherished grandfather of Denise, Glenn, Mark, Kristian,
Ashley, Pamela and Robert, great-grandfather of seven, great-greatgrandfather
of Maverick, dear brother of Mary Denauski, Diane Witt
and the late Eleanor Senz, loving companion of Rosemary and beloved
neighbor of Karen and Bob. He was a United States Navy veteran who
served during World War II and a member of the Frank Kowalinski
Post and American Legion Post 783 of Maspeth. Funeral services were
held at Papvero Funeral Home on Friday, Oct. 23, followed by interment
at St. John Cemetery, Middle Village, under the direction of Papavero
Funeral Home, Maspeth.

IGNAZIO AMORE died on Monday, Oct. 26, at the age of 26. He
was the beloved husband of Frances Amore, loving father of Cathy
Amore-Smith and Maria Amore, father-in-law of Terry Smith, and
dear brother of Tina Licata, Teresa Monatlbano and Alberto Amore.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be off ered at Our Lady of Hope Church
on Thursday, Oct. 29, at 9:45 a.m., followed by interment at St. John
Cemetery, Middle Village, under the direction of Papavero Funeral
Home, Maspeth.

ALBERT J. SIMA died on Sunday, Oct. 25, at the age of 69. He was the
beloved father of Vincent Sima and the late Diana Lynn Sima, cherished
grandfather of Sofi a and Gabriella, loving brother of John Sima and
dearest uncle of Thomas Sima. He is also survived by many friends.
He was the former proprietor of Grand Avenue Pet Shop and a lifelong
pigeon hobbyist. A Mass of Christian Burial will be off ered at St. Stanislaus
Church on Friday, Oct. 30, at 9:30 a.m., followed by interment at
Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, under the direction of Papavero Funeral
Home, Maspeth.

PASQUA MARINO, of Glendale, died on Thursday, Oct. 22 at the
age of 86. She was the beloved wife of the late Giuseppe Marino. She
is survived by her three daughters, Rosamaria, Angela and Antonella,
along with her son in laws, the late Natale, Sakis and Richard. She was
a devoted grandmother to her six grandchildren, Daniela, Cynthia,
Alexandra, Gabriella, Alexia and Victoria and great grandmother to
Lucas and Mia. Visitation was held Sunday, Oct. 25, at Werst LaBella
Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial was off ered at Saint Pancras
RC Church, Glendale, on Monday, Oct. 26, followed by entombment at
St. John Cemtery, Middle Village. Fond memories and expressions of
