OBITUARIES
MICHAEL FARRELL died Thursday, Aug. 26, at the age of 56. He
was the beloved husband of Catherine Farrell, loving stepfather of
Maria, David, Susan, Eric (Roxy) and Jacob (Dana), cherished grandfather
of Joey, Anthony, Anya, Jenna, Mia and Emma, dear brother of
Maureen (Jeff ) Garcia, loving uncle of Ariana, Deirdre and Niamh,
great uncle of Cora and Lucy and he is also survived by many loving
friends. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Ridgewood
Moose Lodge. Funeral services were held at Papavero Funeral Home
on Thursday, Sept. 23, followed by a private cremation at Fresh Pond
Crematory, Middle Village, under the direction of Papavero Funeral
Home, Maspeth.

ALBERT A. KUZMICKI died Monday, Sept. 20, at the age of 70. He
was the beloved husband of Doreen L. Fey Kuzmicki and the loving
father of John (Margaret) Perez. He is also survived by many loving
nieces, nephews and friends. He was a longtime employee of Tierney
and Courtney Overhead Doors, as well as a fellow of the Loyal Order
of the Moose, an avid golfer and a fi sherman. Funeral services were
held at Papavero Funeral Home on Friday, Sept. 24, followed by private
cremation at Fresh Pond Crematory, Middle Village, under the direction
of Papavero Funeral Home, Maspeth.

ERNEST LEWIS MATHEWS, JR. died Tuesday, Sept. 21, at the
age of 88. He was the beloved husband of Catherine Mathews, loving
father of Lewis Mathews, Donald (Chiara) Mathews and Mary (Robert)
Bove and cherished grandfather of Joseph, Charlie and Kate. He is also
survived by many loving friends. He was a United States Air Force
veteran and an accomplished Juris Doctor. Mass of Christian Burial
was off ered at St. Adalbert’s Church on Monday, Sept. 27, followed
by interment at Woodlawn Cemetary, Bronx, under the direction of
Papavero Funeral Home, Maspeth.

MARC E. MACDONALD died Thursday, Sept. 23, at the age of 29. He
was the beloved son of Margaret and Eugene MacDonald and the loving
brother of Krista (Yuval) MacDonald. He is also survived by many
loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Mass of Christian Burial
was off ered at St. Stanislaus Church on Tuesday, Sept. 28, followed by
private cremation at Fresh Pond Crematory, Middle Village, under the
direction of Papavero Funeral Home, Maspeth.

SHIQIN LIU died Thursday, Sept. 23, at the age of 84. She was the
beloved mother of Hui Wang, Xu Sheng Wang and Xuri Wang, motherin
law of Chen Tsan Lee, Adam He and Dan Lai, loving grandmother
of Tony, Charlie, Cleveland, Theresa, Joyce, Sabrina, Ricky, Khloe,
Kourtney and Chris and cherished great-grandmother of Keagan and
Liam. Religious services will be off ered at Papavero Funeral Home on
Wednesday, Oct. 6, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and funeral services will be
held at Papavero Funeral Home on Thursday, Oct. 7. Interment will
follow at Washington Cemetary, Washington, NJ, under the direction
of Papavero Funeral Home, Maspeth.

MARIA BEATRICE died Wednesday, Sept. 22, at the age of 88. She
was the beloved wife of the late Frank Beatrice, loving mother of Antonia
Macellaro, Helene Beatrice, Jacqueline Maiorano and the late Maria
Beatrice, mother-in-law of James and Frank, cherished grandmother
of Kimberly, Lauren, Angelo and Matthew, dear sister of the late Livia
Dellarosa, Lucille Sanelli and Helen Marino and dear aunt and greataunt
of many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of fl owers, memorial donations may be made to Calvary Hospice.
Mass of Christian Burial was off ered at St. Cecilia’s Church on Monday,
Sept. 27, followed by interment at Calverton National Cemetary,
