OBITUARIES
IRENE DELEON ABUSTAN died Tuesday, Sept. 14, at
the age of 72. She was the beloved wife of Rodolfo “Peewee”
Abustan, loving mother of Tristan and Elizabeth Abustan
and Rikkah and Ian Kukoff, cherished grandmother of
Maxine, Jack and Isobel and dear sister of Lucy Belmonte
and Alfonso deLeon. She was also survived by many loving
nieces, nephews and friends. Mass of Christian Burial
was offered at St. Adalbert’s Church on Saturday, Sept. 18,
followed by private cremation at Fresh Pond Crematory,
Middle Village, under the direction of Papavero Funeral
Home, Maspeth.
