The 104th Precinct’s Detective
Squad in Ridgewood is looking
for two men who mugged a
59-year-old man as he walked along
Grandview Avenue near Menahan
Street earlier this month.
Police say the suspects approached
the man from behind
around 11:33 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10.
When one of the assailants placed
the victim in a chokehold, according
to authorities.
The second perpetrator then
searched the victim’s pockets removing
an iPhone and his wallet.
The suspects also took the man’s
Nike backpack before fleeing westbound
on Grandview Avenue to
points unknown, police said adding
the victim refused medical attention
at the scene.
No arrests have been made, and
the investigation is ongoing.
