A thirsty burglar who swiped bottles of liquor and two ice buckets from a South Ozone Park home earlier this month remains at large, according to police.The NYPD released on Monday night, Sept. 19, images and video of the suspect behind the caper that occurred at 1 a.m. on Sept. 13 in the vicinity of Sutter Avenue and 124th Street. Authorities said the suspect — described as a black male wearing a hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants while carrying a backpack — entered the garage of the residence through an unsecured door and removed the buckets as well as six bottles of booze. He then fled the scene in an unknown direction. The homeowner, a 50-year-old man, later reported the burglary to the 106th Precinct. All calls and messages are kept confidential. 108th Precinct Long Island City, Sunnyside and Woodside 108th Precinct LIC, Maspeth, Sunnyside, Woodside Cops bust man for two sex assaults A 22-year-old man reportedly assaulted and tried to rape two women on a Woodside street on the morning of Sept. 20. According to the Daily News, Luis Flores- Guerra allegedly stalked a 30-year-old woman walking along 69th Street and Woodside Avenue at 2 a.m. on Sept. 20. Flores-Guerra threw her to the ground, bit her face and thigh and groped her, police sources told the paper. Her screams caught the attention of bystanders, who yelled at Flores-Guerra. He fled the scene; the woman was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital. Though police could not confirm the first assault, an NYPD spokesperson said Flores- Guerra struck again just a little while later, when he assaulted a 27-year-old woman walking in the same area. Sgt. Christopher Miro and Detective Everett Newman were patrolling the crime scene when they witnessed Flores-Guerra assaulting the second victim. He grabbed and wrestled the victim to the ground and grabbed her groin in an effort to rape her, the spokesperson said. She suffered a laceration to her right hand when she struggled to fight him off but Miro and Newman were able to pull him away. They arrested him at about 5 a.m. Flores-Guerra resisted arrest and injured the officers in an attempt to flee, according to the NYPD. He was charged with rape, assault, sexual abuse and two counts of forcible touching.
