JAMES C. STOLZE of Glendale
died on Monday, August 14, at the
age of 66. A native of Queens, he was
the beloved husband of Colleen Stolze,
devoted father of Christian and
Jessica Stolze, son of the late Louis
and Catherine Stolze, dear brother
of Kathy, Joann and Dyanne and fond
grandfather of Ryan and Juliette. A
Mass of Christian Burial was off ered
at Sacred Heart Church, Glendale,
followed by interment at All Faiths
Cemetery, Middle Village, under the
direction of George Werst Funeral
Home, 71-41 Cooper Ave., Glendale.

ANGELA MUSSA died on Saturday,
August 12, at the age of 93. She
was the loving mother of Carla Mussa
and is also survived by many loving
family members in Italy. Services will
be off ered at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday,
August 17, at Papavero Funeral Home,
72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth, followed
by entombment at Rose Hills Memorial
Park, Putnam Valley, NY.

ZOFIA SYREK died on Saturday,
August 12, at the age of 88. She was
the beloved wife of Michael Syrek,
loving mother of Jacek Syrek and
Jerzy Syrek, mother-in-law of Juliatta
and Karen, cherished grandmother
of Isabella and Joanna and
dear sister of Hanka in Poland.
A Mass of Christian Burial was
offered on Wednesday, August 16,
at St. Adalbert’s Church, Elmhurst,
followed by interment at Mount
Olivet Cemetery, Maspeth, under
the direction of Papavero Funeral
Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

JOHN KULIG died on Tuesday,
August 8, at the age of 54. He was
the beloved son of Stanislaw and
Ludwika Kulig, loving brother of
Mary, Antoinette, Stacey, Jeannie,
Halina and Liz, brother-in-law of Hy,
Donald, Glenn, Darion and Doug and
cherished uncle of Donald, Michael,
Samantha, Alison and Donald. He is
also survived by many loving aunts,
uncles, cousins and friends. He was
a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. A Mass
of Christian Burial was off ered on
Saturday, August 12, at St. Adalbert’s
Church, Elmhurst, followed by interment
at Nativity of St. Mary’s Cemetery,
Stuyvesant Falls, NY, under the
direction of Papavero Funeral Home,

LORRAINE J. MILLER died on
Tuesday, August 1, at the age of 82.
She was the wife of the late Robert
and devoted mother of Debbie
Migliore, Cindy Schaffhauser,
Bobby Miller, Barbara Bennett
and Pat Chaseman. She is also
survived by seven grandchildren.
Services were offered at Glendale/
Maspeth United Methodist Church,
Glendale, followed by interment
at Calverton National Cemetery,
Calverton, NY, under the direction
of Schwille Funeral Home, 66-32
Myrtle Ave., Glendale.

died on Thursday, July 27, at the
age of 68. He was the beloved
husband of Zofia Roztoczynska,
loving father of Iwona Roztoczynska
and Jacek Roztoczynski
and cherished grandfather of
Julia, Wiktoria, Weronika and
Amelia. A private cremation was
held on Friday, July 28, at Fresh
Pond Crematory, Middle Village,
with memorial services held on
Tuesday, August 1, at Papavero
Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand
Ave., Maspeth, and interment of
cremated remains to follow at
Cmentarzu Sw. Wojciecha, Bnin,
Kornik, Poland.

Glendale died on Tuesday, July 25,
at the age of 87. A native of Kula,
Yugoslavia, he was the father of the
late Doris Bauer, fond father-in-law
of Timothy Bauer Sr., dear brotherin
law of Eleanore Schmidtutz and
cherished grandfather of Timothy
Bauer Jr. Services were offered at

Cypress Hills Cemetery, Brooklyn.

Maspeth died on Saturday, June
17, at the age of 80. A native of
Brooklyn, he was the husband of
the late Florence Kowalczyk and
devoted father of Edward R. Kowalczyk.
