Now they’re on with regular programming and shows several nights a week, including this Friday night concert with a headlining spot from rockers Burning Shame. The show goes from 8 p.m. to midnight and features four bands; Footlight is located at 465 Seneca Ave. Yoga: 5th NY AcroFest @ The Muse If you’re all about community and yoga, NY AcroFest might be your best weekend option! It’s is an annual festival that connects the AcroYoga community around the tri-state area. AcroYoga is the practice of connecting people by doing acrobatics together. Their slogan is “Friends lift up friends,” meaning that they hope to create deeper connection, feeling of unity and community within the NYC acro members. The festival lasts Friday through Sunday and costs $200, and The Muse is located at 350 Moffat St., Brooklyn, NY. Saturday, Aug. 13 Community: Ridgewood Youthmarket The Ridgewood Youthmarket, run in partnership with Ridgewood Local Development Corporation and the Myrtle Avenue Business Improvement District, is now in its eighth season! Youth from Bushwick and Ridgewood come out to this lively market each Saturday to sell fresh fruits and vegetables purchased from Greenmarket Co. The market takes place every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Nov. 19 at Cypress and Myrtle avenues. Music: Meeting of Minds @ Trans-Pecos Saturday nights are best spent in the presence of good live music. That’s why you should wander over to Trans-Pecos for their Saturday night concert called “Meeting of The Minds.” Expect original sounds from P.
