The show goes from 8 p.m. to midnight and features four bands; Footlight is located at 465 Seneca Ave. Saturday, July 30 Community: Ridgewood Youthmarket The Ridgewood Youthmarket, run in partnership with Ridgewood Local Development Corporation and the Myrtle Avenue Business Improvement District, is now in its eighth season! Youth from Bushwick and Ridgewood come out to this lively market each Saturday to sell fresh fruits and vegetables purchased from Greenmarket Co. The market takes place every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Nov. 19 at Cypress and Myrtle avenues. Community: Community Garden Meeting @ Woodbine If you’re interested in helping to brainstorm about a community garden in Ridgewood, this event is for you. On Sunday, local fellow green thumbs are holding an open meeting discussing opportunities for building green spaces in the neighborhood. The meeting is free, starts at 2 p.m., and takes place at 1882 Woodbine St. Sunday, July 31 Laughs: Stand Up Comedy @ Bridge & Tunnel Brewery The last Sunday night of the month, our fave local brewery hosts Stand Up Comedy and serves $5 drafts. The brewery is open from 5 to 10 p.m. every Friday and is located at 15-35 Decatur St. Music: Backyard Hi-Fi Sessions II @ Trans-Pecos Backyard Hi-Fi Sessions is a celebration of sound system culture in New York City, a Dub-Stuy event series held on the last Sunday of summer months in the backyard of Trans-Pecos with live DJs and MCs.
