The 40-year-old male victim was hospitalized for treatment of head trauma and other injuries, law enforcement sources said. Sources familiar with the investigation stated he did not wear a proper helmet. Reportedly, the accident occurred at about 4:45 p.m. last Friday at the corner of Stanhope Street and Onderdonk Avenue. According to information obtained by police, the 40-year-old male victim was riding a 2012 Ducati motorcycle eastbound on Stanhope Street when he was hit by a 2001 Buick Century. The car was reportedly turning from Stanhope Street westbound onto Onderdonk Avenue. After hitting the motorcyclist, the driver remained at the scene. Officers from the 104th Precinct and EMS units responded to the scene. Paramedics rushed the motorcyclist to Elmhurst Hospital Center, where he was listed in critical condition.
