Giordano joined the board in 1989 after several years of service as executive director of the Greater Ridgewood Youth Council. Markey and Hevesi presented him with a Assembly proclamation to mark the occasion. The honor was also signed by Assembly Members Catherine Nolan and Mike Miller. Giordano is a life-long resident of the area. He graduated from Our Lady of Hope School, St. Francis Prep and Pace University. Before becoming district manager, Giordano was one of the youngest members of the board itself, chairing its Youth and Health committees.
