LILLIAN (LILLY) REBECCA
MAASBACH (NÉE GADZALISZYN)
died Wednesday, April 8th,
at the age of 91. She was the wife
of Henry Maasbach and mother of
Carol Ryder (Mark), Bruce Maasbach,
Joan Maasbach, John (Rimma)
Maasbach, Ruth McDonald (Kevin),
Esther Kalpaxis (Arion) and Steven
(Nancy) Maasbach. She was also a
grandmother to 14 grandchildren
and great-grandmother to eight
great-grandchildren. She was a
daughter of late-parents and a sister
to the late-Florence, late-Ruth,
late-Emma and late-Eddie. In lieu of
flowers, you may donate to Ridgewood
Pentecostal Church or Pilgrim
Camp.

ANTOINETTE MORIZIO died
Sunday, March 31 at the age of 50.
She was the beloved daughter of
Antonio and the late Lucia Morizio
and loving sister of Donna Morizio
and the late Donata Morizio. She
is also survived by many loving
aunts, uncles and friends. In lieu
of flowers memorial donations
may be made to Farm Sanctuary
or Lustgarten Foundation. Private
funeral services were held Friday,
June 5, followed by entombment at
St. John Cemetery, Middle Village,
under the direction of Papavero
Funeral Home, Maspeth.

ELAINE SHEPHARD died Monday,
June 1 at the age of 78. She was
the beloved wife of the late James
Shepherd and loving mother of
James, Jacqueline Shepherd-Kelly,
Jeff Shepherd and Jeremy Shepherd.
She was the cherished grandmother
of Jeremy, James, Jayden, Lux and
Zan and dear sister of the late Maria
Gallagher and Diane Bauer. Private
funeral services were held Monday,
June 8, followed by interment at
Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, under
the direction of Papavero Funeral
Home, Maspeth.

DIANE PASSARELLA died
Sunday, May 31 at the age of 59.
She was the loving partner of
Gilberto Bravo, beloved mother of
Christina Passarella and Daniel
Passarella and cherished sister
of Karen Molina, Ronald Day and
Lauren Day. She was the dear aunt
of Ronnie Molina, Austin Day and
Ryan Day. Private funeral services
were held Friday, June 5, followed

RUPERT JOHN OLIVER, III
May 20, 2020, Rupert John (RJ) Oliver III, passed
away peacefully into the arms of God. Preceded in
death by father, Rupert Jr. (Mickey); mother,
Dorothy; sister, Arlene; and brother, Wayne.
Rupert lived over 20 years in Ridgewood. He
attended Our Lady of Miraculous Medal and
Brooklyn Automotive H.S. Rupert worked at Sal’s
Pizzeria, Myrtle Motors and was a regular at
Nick’s Automotive before relocating to Roanoke,
VA in 1975. Rupert had two passions, his family
and cars. He was known for his blue eyes,
infectious smile, sense of humor, and
compassionate spirit. Rupert is survived by his
wife of 53 years, Karen Lutjen Oliver; children,
Kelly, Jennifer, Rupert IV, and daughter-in-law,
Sarah; 12 grandchildren and sister, Lorraine.
Celebration of Life will be scheduled in Roanoke.
