Board 5 District Manager Gary Giordano asks that anyone who plans to attend the hearing take public transportation, since parking in the school parking lot is very limited, especially with other activities being conducted. In notifying Board 5 of their proposal, Tino Hernandez, president of Samaritan Village, wrote that under their proposal they would provide an array of on-site services and off-site service linkages to provide 125 -SEE SHELTER ON PG. 30- 3 • TIMES, THURSDAY, MAY 8, 2014 Fine etiquette, food and drink were served to guests during the Greater Ridgewood Historical Society’s (GRHS) Victorian tea last Saturday, May 3, at the Onderdonk House in Ridgewood. The mid-afternoon event followed a 19th century English custom in which participants were served tea accompanied by a light meal featuring finger sandwiches and pastries. Participants at last Saturday’s tea—some of whom dressed in period attire for the occasion—enjoyed tea with light cakes and an exhibit on the Victorian era.
