Blink Fitness, the premium-quality, value-based fitness club opened up their newest Queens location at 102-16 Liberty Ave. on April 15. The newest Blink Fitness facility will provide customers with more than 80 pieces of top-of-the-line cardio equipment and 70 pieces of state-of-the-art strength training equipment, including free weights and all types of machines that work out the upper body, lower body and core. Certified personal trainers will be available for members who wish to create a custom workout experience tailored to their personal goals. “We couldn’t be happier to open our doors in Ozone Park, our fourth location in Queens with a fifth coming soon in Woodside,” said Todd Magazine, Blink Fitness president. “We’re certain that the Ozone Park community will enjoy the premium experience we provide for an affordable price. All of our Blink locations in Queens have had such an overwhelmingly positive response and we’re thrilled to continue our growth in the borough.” As a part of their grand opening celebration, Blink Fitness donated 50 oneyear memberships, worth over $10,000, to Sheltering Arms, an organization this is dedicated to strengthening the education, well-being and development of vulnerable children, youth and families. “We’re thrilled to welcome Blink Fitness to our Ozone Park community. Novice girl Aileen Mitarotonda won the gold for her 200-meter race, while senior girl Zara McPartland grabbed the gold for her performance in the 400-meter run. Novice boys Conn Reilly, Anthony Pedicini, Kevin Isca and Gavin McMahon were also gold medal recipients for their 600-meter medley, along with novice boys Thomas Fischer and Milo Cedeno for their long jump. Also receiving gold medals were senior boys John Ostling, Nicholas Catapano, Elias Mulligan and Michael Hubert for their amazing performance in the 1,200-meter medley run. Gold wasn’t the only medal the Flyers brought back from Astoria. Novice girl Grace Finnegan received the silver medal in the 100-meter run, and bantam girls Lin Finnegan, Paulina Lisowski, Rosin Wrynn and Nora Olmo also took home silver for their 800-meter medley. While junior boys Owen Kelly, Stephen Heerey, Victor Ostling and Kacper Niepokoj captured second place for their 1,200-meter medley run. Senior girl Nina Allen and run and bantam boy Conor O’Leary won bronze for their performances in the 200-meter and 100-meter run, respectively. The Flyers also want to acknowledge their final medal winners: peewees Sadie Donahue, Kaylee Ruiz, Ciara Reilly and Nora Wrynn. Also novice girl Isadora Mulligan for her 100-meter run and bantam Athalia Mulligan for her 100-meter and novice boy Gavin Walsh for his 200-meter run. The coaches are equally impressed with all the runners that participated in this event.
