Each year, the Kiwanis Club of Glendale awards over $10,000 in scholarships to
students in the 11385 area. This program was instituted to recognize and promote
good citizenship, community service and academic excellence. Students preparing
to enter their first year of high school, or entering their freshman year at a
recognized college by September 2020, are eligible to apply.
Winners will be selected by a committee of Glendale Kiwanis members, based on
which nominees best meet the criteria. A nominee will be evaluated on scholastic
achievement, community service and career goals, each weighed individually and
equally. All applications must be in the hands of the selection committee by the
deadline stated. Any applications received after that date will not be considered,
NO EXCEPTIONS.

We’re paying tribute to Nurses and Health Care workers in a special section planned
for National Nurses Week. Please share your stories of a health care professional
that helped you in a time of need. Share your story— in 100 words or less—and a
photo of you and the individual if you have one. Let us know your name, the worker’s
name, and the facility so everyone gets proper credit. Feel free to include a photo of
you and the nurse if you have one.
