Come join QCA grant-winner Shervone Neckles for this 6:30 p.m. workshop. Admission is $10 and the Queens Council of the Arts is located at 37-11 35th Ave. in Astoria. Do you like noodles? Burmese noodles? If so, you should stop by the Burmese Noodle Pop Up Shop to enjoy a variety of different noodle dishes like chicken coconut noodles, beef Shan noodles and more. The pop up shop will be open from 7 to 11 p.m. and is located at 1080 Wyckoff Ave. in Ridgewood. Saturday, April 9 Come join the K &A Social Club for a night of drunk trivia at their K & A Pub Quiz. There will be six rounds of trivia questions covering everything from sports to pop culture to music. The team that places first will win a $25 dollar bar tab and free beer for second-place contestants. There will also be a one free shot question per round for which everyone is encouraged to yell out an answer. The games will begin at 6 p.m. and you can find the K &A Social Club at 66-48 Myrtle Ave. in Flushing. If you’re looking to connect with other local artists or just have a profound love of art, you should stop by the Ridgewood Artist’s Coalition meeting. This monthly meeting is a chance for artists and art-lovers of all mediums to discuss their work, creative processes and interests, and a general chance to become better acquainted as a community through a shared interest. The meeting will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Woodbine. The Woodbine can be found at 1882 Woodbine St. in Ridgewood. Hungry for flapjacks? Come out to the Redeemer Lutheran Youth Group’s annual pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the door. All proceeds benefit the youth group and its activities. This annual riverside festival’s grand opening will be from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, and will feature all new vendors along with crowd favorites from years past. The festival will be located at 5-25 46th Ave. in Long Island City Sunday, April 10 The Woodbine invites you to an open Sunday dinner as an opportunity to meet, talk and socialize with fellow Ridgewood residents. Prepping and cooking for the dinner will begin at 7:30 p.m., at which time the Woodbine will open its doors to dinner guests. Guests are also encouraged to bring their own dishes or a suggested donation of $5. The Woodbine can be found at 1882 Woodbine St. in Ridgewood. The 10th of April marks the last day of the Myrtle Avenue Spring Sidewalk Sale, sponsored by the Myrtle Avenue Business Improvement District. Come browse through a varied selection of vendors along the Myrtle Avenue strip from Fresh Pond Road to Wyckoff Avenue. The sale will be from dawn to dusk. Sundays at the Queens Tavern mean Bring Your Own Vinyl. Stop by this throwback event with your favorite old record for a chance to share it with the whole bar. Beginning at 8 p.m. the Tavern will accept all vinyls from patrons to be played. Admission is free and the Queens Tavern is located at 68-69 Fresh Pond Rd. in Ridgewood. Monday, April 11 Looking for a place to drop off your kids while you go work out? Kill two birds with one stone by bringing them to Kids Craft at the Ridgewood YMCA. This hourlong children’s workshop is just the perfect amount of time to get a moment to yourself while your kids make fun stuff like water color paintings, sculptures and more. The workshop is from 6 to 7 p.m. and will be free for YMCA members. The Ridgewood YMCA is located at 69-02 64th St. in Ridgewood. Mother Goose welcomes you and your little ones to the Ridgewood Library for an afternoon of nursery rhymes, singing and books.
