STANISLAWA ZAJKOWSKI died Tuesday,
March 16, at the age 96. She was the beloved
wife of the late Paul Zajkowski, loving mother
of Lester, Bogdan, Jan and Eva, cherished
grandmother of Dorian, Victoria, Zane,
Andrea, Tara and Joseph, and great-grandmother
of Ariya, Kylie, Olivia and Anastazja
(AJ). A Mass of Christian Burial was offered
at Holy Cross Church on Saturday. March
20, followed by interment at Mount Olivet
Cemetery, under the direction of Papavero
Funeral Home, Maspeth.

LYDIA M. BERDEJO died Sunday, March 14,
at the age of 83. She was the beloved mother
of Linda (Javier) Colon and Johnny Rosado
Jr., loving grandmother of Adam & Siobhan,
Amanda and Nicolas, and cherished greatgrandmother
of Noelle. A Mass of Christian
Burial was offered at St. Joan of Arc Church
on Friday, March 19, followed by interment at
The Evergreens Cemtery, under the direction
of Papavero Funeral Home, Maspeth.

ANNA ABBADESSA died Saturday, March
20, at the age of 96. She was the beloved wife
of the late Nunzio, loving mother of Ann
Fotiades and Matthew Abbadessa, cherished
grandmother of Michael, Nicholas, Erica
and Gina, and great grandmother of John. A
Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Our
Lady of Hope Church on Wednesday, March
24, followed by interment at Maple Grove
Cemetery, under the direction of Papavero
Funeral Home, Maspeth.

ELVIRA T. GROSSE, of Brooklyn, died
Wednesday, March 17, at the age of 90. A native
of Brooklyn, she was the beloved wife of
the late Charles Grosse and devoted mother
of Carla Vascones and Rosemary Grosse.
She is also survived by three grandchildren
and was a longtime member of St. Brigid R.C.
Church. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered
at St. Brigid R.C. Church, followed by
interment at St. John Cemetery, under the
direction of Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood
Chapels.

URSZULA BLASZCZAK died Saturday,
March 20, at the age of 54. She was a beloved
wife, cherished daughter, loving sister and
sister-in-law, dearest aunt and friend. A Mass
of Christian Burial was offered at Holy Cross
Church on Tuesday, March 23, followed by
interment at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery,
Doylestown, PA, under the direction of
Papavero Funeral Home, Maspeth.

HILDA KOTNIK,of Glendale, died on
Friday, March 19, at the age of 87. She was a
native of Gottschee, Slovenia. Hilda was the
beloved husband of Frank, devoted mother
of three sons (Frank, Walter and Frederick),
loving mother-in-law of Tina, Christine &
Margaret, and grandmother of Stephanie,
Nicole, Paul and Markus. During the 1960s &
‘70s, Hilda was very active in Saint Pancras
School with fundraising. She was a long time
Board of Directors member of the Glendale

Property Owners Association. Later in life,
Hilda belonged to the Sacred Heart Church
knitting group, where she crocheted blankets
for needy babies and military veterans. A
Mass of Christian Burial was offered in Saint
Pancras Church, followed by interment was
at Saint John Cemetery under the direction
of Werst & LaBella Funeral Home.
