OBITUARIES
Linda went to Heaven to be with her parents, Edward and Prudy Mahoney, (who
preceded her in death), on March 4 aft er succumbing to lengthly health issues. Visitation
was scheduled to be held at the Seneca Chapels, Ridgewood, on Wednesday
March 9. Funeral Service were scheduled to be held at St.Mathias Catholic Church,
Ridgewood, at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 10, with burial at Pinelawn National Cemetery,
Farmingdale, thereaft er. Linda is survived by her brothers Patrick (Nancy)
(Maggie) Mahoney, Mark (Robin) Mahoney, numerous loving nieces, nephews, great
nephew(s) and cousins. Linda is preceded in death by her loving maternal Aunt, Rosalie
and Grandmother, Frances. She is also preceded by several other loving family
members. Linda enriched all our hearts with her smile and personality. She showed
us all how to be happy, joyous and how to live with pain, adversity and humility.
Linda will forever be in our hearts. The Mahoney Family would like to thank all the
staff who served at Dawson Manor who have provided care and friendship over the
many years Linda has lived under their roof. A very special thanks and appreciation
go to the doctors and staff at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, especially Dr. Medha
Chunduru, MICU, and Dr. Forbes, palliative care. They went above and beyond caring
for and comforting her. They were part of the family, as were the rest of the staff .
